Another shot from a night shoot held recently. ~Astellecia wanted a night shoot done for her beautiful Diamond Crevasse gown, worn by galactic songstress Sheryl Nome in the Macross Frontier anime series - with lots of water elements involved!

This was a technically challenging shoot for me and my fellow photog ~zerartul. Both of us had to use our tripods due to the low lighting levels, in addition to that, there was also difficulty in focusing due to the harsh bright lights which confused the camera autofocus. Exposure had to be done manually due to the many spotlights around, which made the camera metering haywire most of the time. Add to that we were sloshing around in ankle deep water most of the time and trying to get our equipment from getting wet (which it still did). Really challenging but extremely fun shoot...the results were definitely worth it!

Special thanks goes out to and for assisting in arranging Skye's dress and also looking after our stuff while we had fun in the water.

Random fact: The gown she wore had a few hundred fake "diamonds" individually hand stuck onto it. Don't ask me how many got lost in the fountain!
